Flower Bed
INSTALLATION
A series of silk pillow cases are suspended by delicate chains, floating like clouds at eye level. Each one contains a hand embroidered text with silk thread with a selection of names of perennials (plants that bloom once a year as a flower but if displaced turn to weed). :
Viewer’s movement and presence send fluctuating currents of air and waiver the silk forms whose contents filled with seeds in turn gravitate to the loose ash formations seemingly solid forms on the floor. The walls are pigmented with earth in a stencilled motif pattern of hands.
